My Amazing Friend -

I don't much think about fighting HIV until I remember to take my medicine. I have determined that I am redeemed, even in my physical health. I do, what some may seem silly, talk to my body and command it to be receptive to the Resurrection Power of Jesus Christ in me as He quickens my mortal body. I stand in the mirror and look at this fleshly covering and let it know WHO is in charge "you are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and I bind you to the Word of God, I command you to function with the life of Jesus..."... YOU KNOW, HE IS ALIVE AND WELL AND STILL HEALING ME. All the while there is laughter around me, but I know HIS WORD IS TRUE.

The other night I went to bed and before I went to bed the Holy Spirit reminded me of a few words from Psalm 91. I wasn't feeling well, so I went there, and there the Lord spoke to me His wonderful promises for me. Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust him. For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from the deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you."

I want you to know that that night about 3 a.m. I woke up and was shivering with fever (you know the kind where you can't control the spasms in all of your muscles.... Instantly that word came alive to me and rather than getting into fear mode, I was able to stand in the promises of God, knowing that these things will not touch me, that I need not dread the disease of the night. I will not die from the attacks of HIV.. Hallelujah...

It is amazing to me (though it should not be with God) that all of my paperwork through the doctors does not look good. My T-Cells are at 79, my viral load is undetectable. I did not get any flu shots, yet the flu was all around me in this last year. I stick my hands in toilets for a living and yet remain healthy. MY GOD IS GOOD. HE IS MIGHTY! HE IS POWERFUL! HE IS MY HEALER! MY JESUS LOVES ME! MY GOD IS YOUR GOD.... THE SAME TO ME AS HE IS TO YOU. HE LOVES US ALL! HE IS MY AMAZING FRIEND

It has been a while

Well funny to say that here it two years later and now not only am I redeemed but all of my life is on the redemption track, my time, my family (did i mention I am married now with two boys?), my health.... Well the real truth is that in my redemption track it is his time, his family, his health, etc.. So will post more at a later time.. I really got on here to follow a blog of a upcoming voice for the Lord... My wife and I are proud to know her! YOU GO GRACI!
